Copyright page states: Published February 28, 1938 – Sixth Printing.  Translated from the German for the first time by H. T. Lowe-Porter.  This is VOLUME ONE ONLY of the two-volume Joseph in Egypt set, part of Thomas Mann's Joseph and His Brothers cycle.  Condition: Acceptable vintage condition with noticeable age and use wear. Cloth covers show rubbing, scuffing, soiling and edge wear. Spine lettering is heavily faded, and there is fraying/wear at the head and tail of the spine and along some corners/edges. Front pastedown has an older From the Library of bookplate with identifying information blacked out. Interior shows age toning, and some opening/separation is visible along an interior gutter. Please review all photographs carefully for exact condition.
